The Srem wine region covers the slopes of the Fruška Gora mountains and surrounding area. International varieties are planted along with traditional Balkan grapes.
The small Bačka region covers only around twenty hectares of vineyards made up of small holdings from dozens of growers. Kevidinka and Župljanka are common, as are Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling. There are also some experimental plantings of Panonija, Bačka, Petra, Kosmopolita and Probus.
Around 300 hectares are cultivated in Subotica of which the most famous vineyards lie around Lake Palić where sandy soils dominate.
