Like many family domains started by fathers and grandfathers, siblings often want to take hold of their own destinies. In 2003 Renato and his brother Giuliano divided their affairs and set out to shape their own wineries.
Renato took with him some of the original vines from the family estate and bolted them on to his newly constructed winery and cellar in the village of Annunziata la Morra, creating Azienda Agricola Renato Colorino.
His Barolo wines are now on the market, notably, the 3000 bottles of flagship Barolo ‘Annunziata’. Fermented in stainless steel, it undergoes malolactic in cask before a two year stay in wood. It is released unfiltered.
