Raboso Piave is a red skinned grape named after the northern Italian town of Piave. It is typically planted in the provinces of Treviso and Padova, where it gives a more tannic and austere red wine than the similar Raboso Veronese grape.
The small Tessère winery has become synonymous with the rare but highly appreciated Raboso grape. Founded in 1979 by Ilario Bincoletto, the estate covers 15 hectares and produces around 55,000 bottles a year.
Cantina Colli Euganei is a co-operative cellar that brings together about 680 winemakers, spread over the protected area of the Euganean Hills Nature Reserve in the Veneto.
