Cococciola is a recently discovered white variety from the south of Italy. Testing continues on it, but it could be related to Trebbiano Toscano or Bombino Bianco.
Tommaso Olivastri is based in the small hilltop town of San Vito Chietino in Abruzzo. Just two km from the Adriatic Sea and sheltered from the west by the Majella Mountains, this is exciting terroir in which to cultivate grapes such as Montepulciano and the white Pecorino, Passerina and Cococciola.
