Alicante is a red grape variety grown in the South of Italy, particularly around Campania.It is sometimes used in Tuscany. It is not to be confused with Alicante Bouschet which is a different variety altogether.

Cantina Vignaioli del Morellino di Scansano is a co-operative cellar in the Tuscan village of Scansano, famed for producing Morellino di Scansano. The company also produces wines from a handful of neighbouring appellations.
Fattoria le Pupille is one of the leading lights of Morellino di Scansano. Owned by Elisabetta Geppetti and family, this cult Tuscan producer has made outstanding wines for the last three decades.
