Valdeorras is quickly becoming a respected source of white wines from the Godello grape. As Galicia’s eastern-most appellation, its vineyards enjoy a comparatively more continental climate and the wines reflect this with more primary fruit character than elsewhere in the region. There is also a small amount of Mencia grape planted.
