Bardolino DOC is home to red wines produced just to the east of Lake Garda. Generally they are soft and fruity, although in recent years there is a big drive to return to the terroir driven wines that made the area famous in the 1970s and 80s.
Cà Bottura is situated in the heart of Bardolino. Maurizio Andreoli inherited his passion for vineyards from his father Romano, and today Maurizio, together with his son Andrea farm land in the hills of Bardolino, Costermano and Garda.
Cantina di Negrar is a co-operative cellar founded in 1933 in the village of Negrar, not far from Verona. It has been known throughout its long history for the production of Amarone della Valpolicella and today remains an impressive Venetian brand consistently winning awards.
