Domaine de la Plaigne produce good old fashioned country wine with lots of juice, flavour and fun. If you want the taste of rustic France, this is it. Gilles and Cécile Roux who have run the estate since 1991 are known for wines with lots of concentration and depth. Based in the Rhône Valley, they farm nine hectares of vines in the village of Régnié. They also own two hectares of vines in Beaujolais where they make a very good Beaujolais Villages AOC wine that carries the same depth and concentration.
