Domaine Daniel Bouland is one of the old school. Renowned for working alone in his various vineyards he spends time to get to know the old knotted goblet trained Gamay. As a result his cru village Beaujolais wines are some of the most expressive and terroir driven around. Daniel is a genuine advocate of the importance of bottle age, suggesting that his wines need at least five years to them before they start to show the real character of the vineyards.
