The story of Cortes de Cima is what you would call a success story. Starting with humble origins, producing just 20,000 bottles in its first year, it has now grown to an output of almost two million bottles a year. Much of this production is focussed on wines grown in the hot conditions of Alentejo’s interior, yet the wines that stand out most are made in the coastal vineyards near Vila Nova de Milfontes on the Alentejan coast, just three km from the Atlantic Ocean.
