Château le Monastère is a 35 hectare estate situated in the village of Lansac, in the Côtes de Bourg AOC. Owner Jean-Marc Grenier has been practising organic viticulture since 1989 and his vineyards of predominantly Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are planted on clayey-calcareous soils. About 75,000 bottles a year. No chemical fertilisers or pesticides are used. The wine is made using only natural yeast, without fining. Certified organic.
