Recaş DOC is a large growing area in Western Romania, in the region of Banat. Production is dominated by the Cramele Recaş winery.
Cramele Recaş is the third largest producer in Romania, churning out up to 24 million bottles a year. The large estate increasingly promotes Romanian varieties such as Fetească Regală, Tămâioasă Românească and Negru de Drăgășani.
