Wellington WO

Wellington is a district within the Coastal Region of the Wine of Origin system, located just north of Paarl. The area is defined by warm inland conditions and diverse soils, with vineyards spreading from valley floors to the lower slopes of surrounding mountains. Wellington produces a broad range of wines, particularly Chenin Blanc, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, and has long been an important centre for vine nurseries and grape growing in South Africa.
