Surrounded by mountains on three sides, the valley benefits from a slightly cooler microclimate than neighbouring inland areas. Tulbagh produces a range of wines including Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, often showing balance between ripe fruit and fresh acidity.
