Developed with the aim of combining the best qualities of its parents into one grape, Doral is an early ripening and productive vine that is susceptible to viticultural diseases such as grey mould. The grapes are rich in sugar with a pleasant acidity, and the variety can be vinified in a range of styles - from still to sparkling, sweet to dry, as mono-varietal or in a blend. The best examples of Doral are medium to full bodied, with the minerality of Chasselas and a delicate floral bouquet.
Doral is grown exclusively in Switzerland with most of its thirty-six hectares in the cantons of Vaud and Ticino.
