Eichberg is a warm, south to southeast-facing Grand Cru vineyard located just outside the town of Eguisheim, sheltered by the Vosges foothills. Its marl-limestone soils with clay components allow for slow, steady ripening, producing concentrated wines with both richness and lift. Eichberg is especially known for expressive Gewurztraminer and Pinot Gris, though Riesling from this site can also show depth, ripe citrus, and a generous mineral frame.
