Barolo DOCG Ravera by Elvio Cogno

Elvio Cogno’s Barolo Ravera is a red wine produced in the Barolo DOCG from the Ravera cru in the commune of Novello in Piedmont, Italy. The wine is made from Nebbiolo grapes grown on vineyards with calcareous clay soils and typically sees about 24 months of ageing in large Slavonian oak barrels followed by bottle ageing before release. Its production generally spans around 14,000 - 15,000 bottles per vintage and the wine is noted for structure and capacity to age. Barolo Ravera is characterised by its garnet-red colour, complex aromatics and is considered a classic expression of the Ravera cru
