Soave DOC "Calvarino" by Pieropan

Calvarino is one of the top wines of the Pieropan estate. Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave cultivated using the Pergola Veronese at a density of about 4000 plants per hectare. Harvested manually, often with second passages to select maturer fruit. Trebbiano di Soave is picked (usually) around mid September while the Garganega is ready in early October. Here, in the Classico area of Soave, the soils of mainly volcanic, rich in basalt and tuff. Altitude is between 200-300m. Certified organic. Temperature controlled fermentation in cement.
