It is named after the picturesque San Lorenzo valley which can be seen from the estate’s 18th century property - Villa Pianigiani and Villa Ricucci - and comes from the 25.5 hectare San Lorenzo vineyard. Sangiovese is blended with the amounts of Merlot and Malvasia Nera in pursuit of a wine with freshness and elegance, finesse and complexity.
