Cantina Rallo’s Zibibbo is grown in the west of Sicily, in Patti Piccolo, just south of Alcamo. The vineyard was planted in 2008 and finds itself at 250m. Here loamy soils dominate. Soft pressing, fermented in steel. No malolactic fermentation. Matured in steel for six month before release. The name Al Qasar is an Arabic word meaning fortress, but also centre or main street. The choice of an Arabic name was inspired by the fact that the Zibibbo grape was imported into Sicily by the Arabs and in Patti Piccolo the Zibibbo vineyard face southeast, toward Mecca Sicily.
