Ornellaia's flagship red wine, known simply as Ornellaia, is a Bordeaux-style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The first vintage was 1985, released a few years later in 1988. It is currently bottled under the Bolgheri DOC, but prior to 1994, when the Bolgheri DOC expanded to include red wines, it was released as a Vino da Tavola.
