Description

This wine is a selection of the best grapes in the best vintages from Inama’s Oratorio di San Lorenzo vineyard. The area of the Oratorio di San Lorenzo is a small valley surrounded by unspoilt nature, a mystic place where monks lived in the past.

The wine was first produced in 2004 with the intention of expressing just how well the Carménère grape seems to have adapted to the Colli Berici area. Here the micro-climate is unique and in the case of this vineyard, it’s affected positively by the influence of the adjacent forest, which gives organic substances like limestone and clay and gives origin to important temperature gaps. The area is often hot during the day and fresh at night. In 2009 the wine received DOC status as a riserva. Biological viticulture, it boasts low yields averaging just 40hl per hectare. It spends 18 months in mostly new barriques.
