Calatayud DO

Calatayud DO is a wine region in Spain’s Aragón province. Located around ninety kilometres southwest of Zaragoza, the area has seen something of a transformation since achieving Denominación de Origen status in 1990; formally known for producing mass market wines, Calatayud is now increasingly recognised for its high quality varietals, principally from the Garnacha grape.
