Crozes-Hermitage is the largest appellation in Northern Rhône and the area’s most accessible sources of Syrah based blends. First defined in 1937 and expanded in 1952, the appellation allows for the use of white grapes such as Marsanne and Roussanne, giving intriguing aromatic profile to what are often full bodied red wines with plenty of power and structure.
