Mendocino Ridge AVA

The Mendocino Ridge is the only non contiguous appellation in the USA. It is known for its high elevation expressions of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Intriguingly, given that lower elevations of these slopes are frequently blanketed in fog coming off the Pacific Ocean, these vineyards experiences much longer periods of uninterrupted sunshine, giving them a riper profile.
