The Languedoc AOC replaced the original Côteaux-du-Languedoc AOC in 2007. Stretching along the Mediterranean coast, from the Spanish border as far as the Roman town of Nimes, reaching up to the stony foothills of the Montagne Noire and the Cevennes, the Languedoc appellation is home to a diverse range of wine-making.
