Simonsberg Paarl is a ward within the Paarl of the Coastal Region under the Wine of Origin system. Located on the slopes of the Simonsberg mountain, the area benefits from elevation, varied aspects and cooling influences that help moderate the otherwise warm inland climate. The ward is known for structured red wines, particularly Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux style blends, as well as refined examples of Chenin Blanc.
