Maranges AOC Is a village level appellation in the Côte de Beaune covering predominantly red wines from Pinot Noir. There are also a handful of vineyards classified as Premier Cru. A small amount of white wine is produced from around 15 hectares.

Despite not possessing any Grand Cru sites, Meursault is one of Burgundy's most acclaimed white wine appellations. Produced from Chardonnay, it includes the outstanding Premier Cru Vineyard sites of Aux Perrieres, Les Genevrieres and Les Charmes.
