Zweigelt

Zweigelt is a dark-skinned grape variety created in the early 1920s by Austrian phytologist Fritz Zweigelt. Today it is Austria’s most widely planted red wine grape with over six-thousand hectares of vine spread across all of the country’s viticultural regions. It is best known for delivering rich, intensely coloured varietals - the finest examples of which have good potential to age.

Parents: St Laurent
