There is plenty to like about Croatia’s Babić variety. At its best it can produce full bodied red wines dripping with fruit and spice. As such they can happily spend time in oak and benefit from patience. Tannins soften and intriguing complexity develops. Professor Leo Gracin produces one of the best examples from his vineyards in Primošten.
